The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

There have been mixed reviews about this book...made worse by the movie I fear. I personally could not put The Lovely Bones down - it evokes so many emotions and yet carries a dream-state sort of feeling.

Lovely Bones is the story of Susie...who was raped, murdered, and buried. From beyond the grave, Susie is able to see her family and friends...and the man who murdered her. She wants to help track down her killer, and comes to grips with her death in the process. You really should read the book before you watch the movie.
