Journey to Almighty by Tina Klinesmith

I won a copy of Journey to the Almighty through the Goodreads' Firstreads program.

Michele Ramirez has turned to alcohol and drugs - a life of crime with her boyfriend Cam. Although he is abusive, Michele believes in her haze that she does not deserve any better. JOURNEY follows Michele on her path towards taking back her life. Along the way she meets David and his father; finally men she can look towards as role models. Finding God is the last thing on Michele's troubled mind, but God has a way of finding the lost...

I read this fairly quickly, and it is by no means a difficult read. What made this book most enjoyable was Klinesmith's ability to create characters you want to care about. The dialogue, emotion, and action are spot-on - I wanted to know how Michele was doing throughout the day.

As someone who crawled out of a troubled past, JOURNEY was comforting in the shared experience fashion. It is amazing how God can help you overcome insurmountable odds to find a bright future. I enjoyed the bits of scripture exchanged in truly difficult moments.

I can't wait to read book 2! Happy reading :)
